Daytona Rising Nears Completion

After breaking ground more than two years ago, the $400 million DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project at Daytona International Speedway is nearing the finish line. This week, the project reached the 100-day mark until its completion.

“It’s hard to believe that we’re entering the final stretch of construction related to DAYTONA Rising,” said Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III. “Witnessing the world’s first motorsports stadium come to life has been incredible. We can’t wait for our fans to see the finished product in January.”

Steel installation for the FPL Solar Pavilion located in the Midway is now underway. DIS also recently completed the final removal/demolition of the backstretch tower.

Upcoming construction activities include completion of the new suite tower roof, initial installation of solar panels for the FPL Solar Pavilion in the Midway, ongoing Midway work and development, and the arrival of letters for a new “supersign” near the center injector/entrance.
