Pocono Qualifying Wet, Johnson Inherits Pole Position

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying have been canceled due to rain, and the field for Sunday’s “Party In The Poconos 400” will be set by the rulebook. 

This is the fifth time qualifying has been canceled in 71 races at Pocono and the third time in 2013 (Las Vegas and Talladega), Since only 43 cars entered no one will go home. 

Jimmie Johnson will start on the pole Sunday by virtue of being the Sprint Cup Series championship leader. Johnson has five wins after qualifying has been canceled, but only once after starting on the pole
